The 48 Hour Audio Drama Festival is a fast-paced, fun event that is put on twice per year by a community of creatives – voice actors, audio engineers, writers, and other artists from beginner to professional levels.

In 2025, after much consideration and requests from our participants, the festival board of execs came up with an awards system – we call it “The 48’s”! 

Participation in the festivals has grown exponentially since it first began with Chelsea Krause as the force behind it, and the awards have been a welcomed addition to the event. The rubric was created by the execs and it aims for an entirely bias-free system that  utilizes a panel of judges who are professionals in the audio drama or adjacent mediums.
